Random News: Harry Potter Pick Me Up

Hello Sweeties,

ADDITION: So I JUST saw that it has been announced that JK Rowling will be making her screenwriting debut by taking us back to the Wizarding World! Rowling will be writing the adaptation of her book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It will not be a prequel or sequel to the Harry Potter Series, but an expansion of the world we already know. It will be set 70 years earlier than the events in Harry Potter and will take place in New York. You can read Rowling’s statement on her website here. But seeing as she loved the character Newt Scamander, the fictional author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and Rowling’s extensive world building, this is really something to look forward to!

So it has been a bit of a difficult week for me, not necessarily bad, just difficult. Typing is especially difficult as I have one arm immobilized for a study, so I this will be brief. But as is my usual thing in times of stress I go to things that make me smile, one of the best is Harry Potter.  Luckily Buzzfeed has provided. The fist is a great collection of quotes from the books/movies. You can read that here, and see one of my favorites below.
The second really made me smile. It is a collection of gifs and pictures of Harry being sassy from the movies, and is here. It really brightened my day, and hope it does the same for you!

Until next time,

About Lynne

I am currently a PhD student of Forensic Psychology, which may explain the off mix of extremely morbid books sitting next to children’s books. Hailing from the Midwest in the United States of America, I have now lived in England for over 2 years (which will explain any strange grammar usage). From a very young age, my parents cultivated a love of reading, and never restricted what I read. When I reached middle school I began reading Shakespeare (a lifelong love affair), but had also discovered the wonders of young adult fiction. While the world may now expect me to read books more reflective of my age, I have fought this and am a strong supporter of the YA novel! Despite having very little free time, I still sets aside time for a reading every evening, and listens to books on my way to University. I dream of one day being a published novelist and published scientist!
