“It’s not that I’m afraid my parents wouldn’t approve. I’m afraid they would. I want this to be all mine. Amaterasu’s only been around for a couple of weeks. How many of these girls have even seen her?”

Final Verdict: A beautiful comic with a plot you may not always follow, but is intriguing and leaving you wanting to know what happens next.

Random News: Lord of the Rings Projects

Hello Lovely Readers,

So today I have found some really amazing replicas of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit builds that people have done. Two of them are out of Legos, one is a doll’s house, and one is an actual house. They just show how cool being a nerd is!

First up is a replica of Rivendell out of 200,000 Lego bricks. You can view more information about the build here, as well as more pictures. This was built by Alice Finch and David Frank. It is truly beautiful!

Second is an unofficial version of the Battle of Helm’s Deep by Rich-K and Big J, with tons of photos here. There is an official Lego version of the Battle of Helm’s Deep, but it is not as extensive, with only 1,368 pieces, versus the over 150,000 of this unofficial version. On top of that staggering number there are 1,700 figurines in this version!!

Next is a doll house version of Bag End, from after The Hobbit. You can view many pictures as well as some information about the construction here. The amount of detail and work that was put into this version are truly staggering!

Lastly, here is an article about a real sized version of Bag End. There are many out there, and this is just one of the many. Again there are so many wonderful details that only a true fan could appreciate!

Are any of these tempting for you guys to build? I know I would love a Hobbit-hole type house one day, but right now funds just aren’t were they need to be for me to build my own!

Random News: Where Was Everyone in Iron Man 3?

Hello Lovely Readers,

Just a really quick post today (which is already much later than usual), because I have a surprise deadline tonight! But while taking a quick break today I stumbles across an amazing Tumblr post! For those of you who have read my review of Iron Man 3, you will know that I was really looking forward to the explanation as to why none of the other Avengers came to help Tony/Iron Man, but was severely disappointing when there was never a hint as to why only Iron Man was fighting a terrorist threatening all of America. Well, an amazing artist has stepped up and put together a reasonable explanation as to what Captain America, Thor, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye were doing during the whole Mandarin Terrorist attack! It made me laugh and will hopefully brighten your day!

Click to view here, I promise it is worth it!

Until next time,

Book Review: Misty Circus

Book Title: Misty Circus
Author: Victoria Francés

“From a very early age Sasha was known for his androgynous looks, his profound shyness and, about all, his mercurial moods, which alternated between episodes of excessive elation and utter sadness.”
Misty Circus
by Victoria Francés

Final Verdict: A beautiful dark picture book for those interested in gothic stories. One that I have already ordered!
