Book Review: Risk It All

Book Title: Risk It All
Author: Megan Derr
“If it was a trap…He’d already killed one Alpha, three Candidates, and more than a dozen of the wolves that had been trying to hunt him down. That didn’t count all the death matches in the pits that he’d been forced into. Alpha or not, Kipling could best him, and it wasn’t like he’d let the man take him somewhere he and a bunch of friends could jump on Kipling. Lunch and a f*** were a risk he could afford to take.”
Risk It All by Megan Derr

Final Verdict: While not as polished as some of Derr’s stories, it is a fun, guilty read.

Movie Review: Maleficent (2014)

Movie Title: Maleficent (2014)
Director: Robert Stromberg

“Princess Aurora: “All the other fairies fly, why don’t you?”
Maleficent: “I had wings once, and they were strong. But they were stolen from me.
Maleficent (2014)

Final Verdict: A brilliant reimagining of Sleeping Beauty (1959) that is nostalgic because of the nods toward the original, but with new modern twists that update the tale for modern times.

Movie Trailer: The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Hello Sweeties,

By now I am sure some of you have already seen the new trailer for the next Hobbit movie. If not I thought I would share it with you! I loved The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and am counting down to this one!

It is exciting to see a bit of the Mirkwood elves, especially Legolas and his father! The most exciting and potentially worrying is the new female elf. She is Peter Jackson’s creation and not from any of JRR Tolkien’s original text (to my understanding). However, I am cautiously optimistic about her!

What do you all think about this trailer?

Until next time,
